Full description

Discover Fes and Marrakech, Morocco’s imperial cities, on a guided 3-day tour.

Day 1: Marrakech — Ait Ben Haddou — Dades

Your tour will start with an early pickup. Meet your driver at your hotel or riad in the morning and start your journey crossing the High Atlas Mountains towards Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. After a guided walk in the village, continue to Ouarzazate for a leisurely lunch. In the early afternoon, travel northeast to Boumalne Dades. Take a drive along the Dades River with the marvelous sunset as your backdrop. Reach the way to Dades valley and make a pit stop to enjoy the amazing scenery. Then continue to a hotel where you will dine and rest for the night at Kasbah Amazigh.

Day 2: Dades — Merzouga

Start the day with breakfast at your hotel. Set out on a journey along the road of 1001 Kasbahs to Tinghir,       an oasis where you will have the opportunity to enjoy an hour-long walk by the river bank all the way to Todgha Gorges. Here, get some free time to enjoy the scenery before lunch. Early in the afternoon, walk to Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits. From here, ride your camel through the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi while enjoying a mesmerizing sunset. Before dark, reach your Sahara desert camp nestled between the dunes, where you will enjoy a Moroccan dinner under the stars while being entertained by local nomads playing their drums around the campfire. After the campfire, relax in your standard or luxury tent, depending on which one you choose. The standard tents are basic accommodation, while a private tent is subject to availability. The toilets are right outside, with facilities to freshen up in a shared room. If you choose the luxury tent, it is located in a more isolated and scenic area, providing extra comfort with proper bedding,
and a guaranteed private tent with flushable western toilets, hot showers, and a rich dinner and breakfast.

Day 3: Merzouga — Fes

Your desert camp hosts will wake you up if you wish to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, drive along the Ziz River with its amazing oasis lined with palm trees and fortified ksours (castles) all the way to Midelt, a small town in the middle of the Atlas Mountains, your lunch stop for the day. In the afternoon, continue crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Fes. Notice a dramatic change in the landscape: snow-capped mountains, cedar forests, and rich vegetation, a complete 180 from the arid and rocky landscapes of the rest of the tour. End your Marrakech to Fes desert tour in the early evening as your driver takes you to your riad or hotel in Fes.

Great experience! Guided tours through different cities, camel riding, star gazing…. From the beginning our wonderful and caring driver and guide, Omar, helped us with everything he could and made sure we were having fun. Would highly recommend!

This tour was awesome! It was such a great way to experience Morocco and the Sahara and get to know some new people. Our driver was the best and really made sure that everyone was taken care of. Being able to camp in the Sahara and watch the sunset and sunrise was one of the coolest things ever. Definitely a memorable trip!

There are many parts of the experience that are my favourites, but the sunrise and the sunset in the desert are extraordinary. people are very kind and funny and you are going to love them.

The trip is amazing! We got to know more about the history of Berber and Morocco. The desert trip and camel ride are brilliant as well. Our driver has been super friendly! Will definitely recommend this trip!

From the pick up 7:30AM friday morning to the drop off in Fez! Everything was beyond amazing. Did not expect to have such a fun, beautiful and knowledgeable trip and experience. Our group of people was from all over the world and we connected so well. Our incredible guide Hesham was the cherry on top. There was not one question he didn’t answer – was very engaging in conversation and always took his time to explain, listen and helping out. Would recommend this trip to anybody – family as well as single travelers (and tell people to ask for Hesham as a guide).

We had an excellent time with the best driver (Youssef) on this trip. He made the drive fun for all of us, especially for my son was traveling with our friends. Ask for him, enjoy all the couscous and Tajines, and midnight dune walks in the Sahara under the stars!!

Nice trip. The view in the desert is great. The tent has good washroom and shower. The most interesting part is to ride camel when the desert is not that hot. The only pity is that we missed the sunset since our camel riding starts at ard 6:40pm.

Take the trip if you don’t have s lot of time in Morroco. Keep in mind that there is a lot of driving (8h on last day from desert camp to Fez), although the car was really comfortable. The worst part was they give you only 40 minutes for Ajt Bin Haddou and then mostly talk about the movies that were shot there. Then you spend 30 minutes in shop with scarves and another 1 hour for lunch. The hotel on first day is basic, but eveyrthing you need and could expect from price of the trip. The bast part was camel ride and the desert part. The camp is quite comfortable,

We had the most amazing time! Our tour guide and driver Youssef made everything so easy and definitely made our trip. He was patient with all of our questions and seemed to always be one step ahead of what we needed. Everywhere we went he made us feel welcomed and included by explaining everything to us. From the moment our trip began he felt like a friend we could go to with anything. He took us to so many cool hidden gems we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. One highlight of our trip was our stop in Tinghir. We had a guide for the day named Ahmed. He was so charismatic and brought the city to life. He had amazing stories and is even a talented musician (he played a few local songs and even taught us to play the instruments). Some of my friends have traveled to Morocco and had some hiccups but we did not experience any of those! All the details were amazing but the employees are what set it apart from other tours for my family and I. Thanks for a once in a lifetime experience!

Hands down so happy this is the tour I decided on for an introduction to Morocco. The tour guides were so amazing! They were very communicative whenever things had to be moved around or adjusted (which didn’t happen often). Like other reviews said, you will spend a lot of time on the bus but if we’re going to be honest going from Marrakech to Fes by car that’s completely unavoidable. The camel rides for sunset and sunrise were so worth it. The small trips in between also added to the experience and made the trip on the bus easier. For reference, I was there with a friend for a week. We started in Marrakech and flew out from Fes airport. After this tour left us in Fes we were able to find another tour to take us to Chefchouan for a day before heading back home. Thanks to this tour we were able to see more of Morocco than we thought possible for a week. I would do it all over again!

Lots of cars and, apart from Ait-Ben-Haddou and Erg Chebbi, not much interest. Perhaps because time is short for, more than the distances, the routes so beautiful, the Atlas always the Atlas, as sinuous.

The tour was amazing from start to finish, one of the best things I’ve done. The guides at Ait Ben Haddou & Tinghir we’re full of knowledge & great personalities. Even though there was quite a bit of driving, there were a lot of stops along the way. The trip into the desert was incredible, I definitely recommend this tour ! Make sure to have some change for the restrooms along the way. Overall a wonderful experience & for me it is a must do when in Morocco.

The whole trip was amazing. Obviously everyone was most excited about the Sahara and the dromedary camel ride, but our driver made every stop and experience memorable. The other people in the group were all great to travel with. So much culture, heritage, and history to learn about in 3 days!

We were really glad we did the trip. The Sahara is stunning and it’s such an unique experience to spend a night there. Definitely worth the long drive. But even on our trip to the desert we had plenty of stops and were shown villages and landscapes along the way. Our tour guide did everything to make our trip most comfortable and accommodated for all needs. Just manage your expectations as it is a long drive.

It’s a good way to visit the sites Morocco. Pickup was prompt the ride was comfortable. There were enough stops for drinks and to see the sites on the way, it didn’t feel rushed at all. The guides were knowledgeable about their craft, tips are given at your own discretion, never felt at any point compelled to drop tips or buy anything from the stores we went to.

A great tour to get a feel of Morocco…they do show you quite a bit which you otherwise likely would not be able to see. Omar was really awesome. Overall a great experience and I will be recommending to others!

Definitely recommended experience. Well organized tour and consistent with what was promised. The very good part were the two drivers (one from marrakesh to the desert and the other from the desert to fez): both punctual, super available to satisfy every request, prudent and attentive drivers, kind and reliable.

very nice and funny trip to the dessert (i guess it depends on the company) Ali, our guide, was super friendly even when all the van was coming hard on him. We had a really good time with the dromedaries in the desert! it was a tad too much driving to get to places but a really good experience all in all.

To be honest, this was an amazing and unexpected trip. I traveled to Morocco with my sister and we chose this three-day tour randomly. Hachim was our guide for the three days and he was absolutely perfect. He was punctual picking us up the first day and then took all the group on a journey through the Moroccan mountains, telling us about the history of the country, the Berber culture and the influence of the French. I´d like to point out Hachim´s kindness and politness throughout the whole trip. I couldn´t imagine a better guide for people who know nothing about Morocco. That very first day we had breakfast in a popular spot and after some time driving we had lunch near the Kasbah and then went there with a local guide. At night, we went to a hotel and the following day we traveled through huge mountain rocks and finally into the desert. The camel ride took a rough half and hour and finally we arrived at the camp, which was really awsome. We had dinner there, watched the stars and danced with local people. The following morning we went back riding the camels but then the group was split and some of us went directly to Fes. On our way back we were not with Hachim anymore but we still saw amazing views and stopped in small villages. We also had time to feed wild monkeys!! We arrived at Fes at night and that was the end of our trip. I would like to mention there was a tense situation with some Canadian girls but Hachim and the agency managed everything superbly. I have nothing but compliments for all of them. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience and we will surely recommend you in our country. Bye!!

This was a magical experience. Camels at sunset and sunrise through the sahara, and plenty of other awesome highlights. Although the food was nothing to write home about, and the hotel/sahara tents were basic, you almost didn’t care because it was worth it to see the Sahara! Hakeem was our lovely tour guide – the type of guy that was friendly, happy to answer any questions, and could get anything done. Thank you Hakeem!

The whole experience was amazing, from start to finish. Our driver/guide and all the guides on different sites were nice and helpful, nothing was left to chance, they helped us with everything we needed nonstop. We had a great party on New Year’s Eve in the Sahara Dessert, a truely unique experience. All the accomodations were ok, surprised by the one in the dessert, they are very confortable and we felt not too bad because it is quite freezing the night in the dessert. I can tell a full story of only good things. Highly recommend this tour .

This was very nice and well planned trip, Omar is a wonderful tour guide. He made us feel comfortable, we are satisfied with our tour from Marrakech to Fes. At night it gets very cold so make sure you have minimal winter clothes packed, a jacket, hat and a pair of gloves will do. If you don’t get a hat the locals can tie beautiful scarf for you Berber style. The tour guides hospitality and willingness to try his best to keep you satisfied is outstanding.

Great trip with great value. Every stop was a delight with lots of fun and exiting things too see. To be honest I am thinking to book the tour again with my girlfriend. I can only recommend as our guid hesham was the best, offering very informative descriptions of our surroundings and being a overall more than pleasant person to spend the trip with.

Great experience, both guide and driver were really kind and helpful. Advice: In winter the dessert experience is really really cold. Standard camp has no hot water neither heater in the tents. The hotel wast’n what we expected, the rooms really cold and not well maintained.

The I find the experiencie so good, we first visited an ancient bereber village which were made there many films such as gladiator etc… We visited a bereber town where were made unbelivable handmade carpets Dessert is a obligation to visit, we went to a 2 people tents camp by camel and during the trip we made sandboard The next day we saw the sunrise at the middle of the dessert because we took some quads to go trough the dessert The treat of the guide was so good, every questions you asked had answer. Expecially thanks sokonidete because i forgot the phone at the taxi and thanks to youssef they managed to give my phone back 10/10

My partner and I were really glad we used this tour to see this part of Morocco. We had a good connection with the others in ouor van, and our driver was great at keeping time and making stops as needed. We had some great tour guides on our stops in various towns. We were brough to several “demonstrations” with opportunities to purchase goods, but don’t feel pressured to purchase anything. The camel ride to and from the camp area was a decent length, and it was a unique oppirtuity to be in the desert for a while, catcing sunet and sunrise.

Houcine is a great guide. I was happy to share some information about the locations we saw and answer questions. The group size of 15 is a good maximum. I highly recommend this tour for a first visit of Morocco!
