Explore the charming coastal city of Essaouira on a guided day tour from Marrakesh. Enjoy some free time to explore, where you can see the bustling port of Essaouira, stroll through the lively medina of the city, and wander through the vibrant markets. Start your morning with pickup from your accommodation in Marrakesh. Travel in comfort in an air-conditioned car to Essaouira. Make a stop at the “goat tree” and admire this peculiar Argan tree with goats perched in it. Arrive in Essaouira and make your way through the straight streets. Enjoy free time to visit the historic ports and bustling seafood markets. Feel free to ask your driver for suggestions on the perfect place for lunch. Visit a co-operative of Berber women who produce Argan oil, and learn about this popular local product. See the old bronze cannons facing the Atlantic Ocean and wander through the colorful markets and cedar woodworking shops. After your day in Essaouira, enjoy a seamless transfer back to Marrakesh in the evening.

Know before you go
It takes 3 hours to go to Essaouira and 3 hours back so you should be comfortable sitting in the van for that amount of time The tour may take place in a minibus of 14 seats or on a regular bus, depending on the vehicles and staff available

Our driver was so lovely! Always smiling and made us feel very welcome. The journey on the way there is broken up nicely with stops at a cafe, viewpoint and Argan oil cooperative. The scenery is beautiful and keeps you entertained for most of the time. We had around 3 hours to explore the medina after eating lunch. Which is so much more relaxed than Marrakech. Would recommend this tour if you want a day trip to the beach. However it was quite a lot cooler than Marrakech….24 degrees and cloudy. So you may want to take a coat and if you’re wanting to swim in the sea it is quite chilly!

The one thing that I noticed is that you are like 6 hours in the car, and like 4 hours in Essaouira…but it’s nice you have your one time to spend there, and to see the argan-goats on the way. So conclusion: however it’s going to take a lot of hours to go to Essaouira, so for 30€ it’s really OK! 🙂

We had amazing time!! Our driver (trip happened on Saturday 9th March) was great, communicative, friendly, drove safely and simply, made us feel welcomed! I almost lost my phone, but he helped to get it back, we also booked taxi to the airport and everything went smoothly. The driver also took us to see the goats on the tree (typical moroccan scenery ), argan oil production “fabric” and showed us great sea food restaurant by the beach. Amazing experience Definitely we recommend and will come again!

This excursion to Essaouira was top Pick-up on time at the agreed place departure in good conditions (comfortable vehicles with air conditioning) the two people in charge of transport the driver and Abdul our guide were just perfect they were benevolent in good dialogue listening and answers to our questions we have not seen the time passed and what to say about the city of Essaouira a very nice surprise that this Moroccan coastal city a unique atmosphere we have appreciated the time to stroll in the streets eat in a small restaurant and shopping and of course walking on the beach Everything was perfect

From the organization, the pickup and the drive, I felt quite comfortable. It wasn’t good that there was a larger Spanish-speaking group spread out in the bus (front and back). Their conversation was excessively loud (how could the driver stand???) The stops, restaurant, goat tree and cooperative are good. My stay in Essaouira was great, just a pleasure. 4 hours of free time. Meeting point for pick up perfect.

The support was totally punctual. Our driver was very professional. Safe and efficient driving. On the driveway we made a few scenic and fun stops. Great courtesy from our driver, always pleasant, who answered all our questions and who was able to give us clear information about our destination. Essaouira is really a very pretty city near the sea! Our driver dropped us near the port at the entrance to the old town. He explained to us where to find him for the return, giving us a schedule. At the appointed time, he was there and we quickly returned to Marrakech despite the slightly denser traffic. Really very satisfied with this activity and especially thank you to our driver

Cheap trip, you get to see the goat trees and an argan processing along the way. Bring some change. You have about 5 hours in Essaouira. A bit too short to enjoy everything in Essaouira, but of course that doesn’t lift the tour.

A small town on the Atlantic, pretty nice people. Do not miss visiting the port with all the fishermen who sell their catch, setting up tables for those who want to eat freshly caught fish at very reasonable prices, fantastic quality/price.

The driver drove very calmly and legally. It was easy to relax while driving. The guide answered every question and was interested in the discussion. The itinerary of the trip was clearly presented to us. We were picked up and taken to our accommodation. The car had air conditioning and very comfortable seats. My husband and I are very tall and we were tired in normal armchairs, so the guide offered us his places where we could straighten our legs. Gentlemen extremely nice and helpful. They didn’t ask for tips which usually happened in other companies we used. During the trip we got to know the history of Essuwaira and many curiosities. I highly recommend ❤️.

The day trip was really nice, was a little longer than expected, but that was probably only because of several stops and an introduction to local culture. It was lovely to have a day away from the madness in Marrakech, Essaouira is much quieter.

absolutely brilliant trip, Abdul contacted us before the journey and kept in touch to let us know when he was arriving. the tour was really well organised and he told us about the process of collecting the nuts for the argan oil and when we arrived at the port have some really good advice on where to go and eat
