Full description
Experience the beauty of the Ourika Valley up-close on this full-day scenic tour from Marrakesh, and escape the hustle and bustle of the city for the day. The Ourika Valley is the closest day trip from Marrakesh, but it’s not just its convenience that makes it special. Drive towards the Atlas Mountains, taking in the beautiful landscape of green meadows and authentic 16th and 17th-century Berber villages. If you take your tour on a Monday, you can even stop at a roadside souk. See fruit orchards, vegetable terraces, and villages clinging to the side of hills. Marvel at the labor undertaken by the Berbers who hoisted materials to construct small houses up mountainsides, and work the terraces in a hostile environment. Continue along the valley of palm trees, following the Ourika River. Fruit trees, tiny hamlets, riverside restaurants, and the summer homes of the wealthy will keep you occupied. Go to Setti Fatma to feel the refreshing waters. Feel the spray on your face as you cool down from the African heat, along with the locals of Marrakech who have made it their favorite weekend retreat.

Very nice excursion with splendid panoramas and an immersion in real Moroccan tourism. A guide Hassan at the top as well as the driver. Small stony and steep walk in places. Highly recommended
Bianca –
Awesome excursion, great scenery, awesome guide and driver, nice lunch by the river.

Had a wonderful day at the Atlas mountains and Ourika Valley. driver picked us from the hotel, he was very hospitable and refreshing to know he spoke perfect English and was able to give us information on the city and Ourika with the Berber community background knowledge and the communities that live in Atlas Mountains. Hassan the hiking guide was also amazing and ensured our safety came first when climbing the mountains. He was very friendly and patient and took lots of pictures for us and knew what we needed. He made sure we were looked after well. I couldnt go the to waterfalls so he took my teenage daughter there and she ssid he was a fabulous tour guide. On the way back to the hotel the driver went out of his way for us to visit a small farm so we could feed the goats and to cash points to get cash. The kebabs were nice at Ourika valley and the mint tea. Highly recommend

A discovery of the Ourika valley and the Berber culture which went very well. I emphasize that the hike is not suitable for children and people with mobility difficulties. The sporting level for the climb especially is high.

It was great super nice value for money

Top, super friendly and caring drivers and guide! The cultural visits just like the end restaurant are super satisfying and not expensive. The hike is quite rough, consider firm, comfy shoes and a bottle of water
Aleesha –
Excellent day we discovered the beauty of the Ourika Valley. The hike offers magnificent landscapes but be careful, bring good hiking shoes because the steep and stony paths can quickly become slippery. Not suitable for young children.

Had a nice day trip. Argan oil corporation and visit Berber house very commercial, but nice to see. Guide hardly told anything along the way, but kept pushy salesmen at a distance. Driver drove fine. Water was available on board. The trip to the waterfall was definitely tough, but the local guide at the waterfall is a great help.

What can I say ! This day trip was outstanding to say the least. Our driver was great from start to finish. The local Berber mountain guide cared for everyone in the group going up and down the mountain. He spoke excellent English and even took me further up the mountain as others in group didn’t like the climb. When we arrived at the village after the climb we had Berber food which was also delicious and very cheap. 3 courses with water 9€ We also visited a local women’s cooperative which was very interesting as well Well worth the money

Day started at 9am and our minivan was full with 14 passengers. First, we arrived in a cooperative Berber argan making place, where the women were making everything by hand. Second, we started our hike. It was a busy day full of tour groups and some of the narrow passageways were too busy and slow for my liking. Lots of people were stopping mid-way. Then, we went to a local Berber house. We finished the walk and had our lunch at 2pm next to the river which was nice and refreshing. We left the place and the van’s air conditioning became a little bit hot on a hot day. Ahmed was our guide and he explained things well. Overall, the trip was okay for a quick getaway from Marrakesh.

Had a very nice and beautiful day. The driver and guide were both very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The trip along the river but above was very beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone! It can be a bit exciting at times, but the guide makes you feel safe.

Fantastic experience, the company kept in touch and arranged an easy pick up and drop off point near our Riad. The guide was very helpful and lots of interesting stop offs on route. The walk up is arduous so you need to be fairly fit. Very good value for money. Definitely recommend.
