Full description
Morocco is a country full of rich culture, history, and stunning natural landscapes. This tour will take you on a journey through some of the most iconic and beautiful places in the country. From the bustling city of Marrakech to the tranquil beaches of Essaouira, you will experience the best that Morocco has to offer.
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your Riad. Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the rest of the day exploring the city on your own, or simply relax and unwind after your journey.
After breakfast, you will depart for the Ouzoud Waterfalls, located about 150 kilometers northeast of Marrakech. The journey will take approximately 3 hours, during which you will pass through stunning landscapes of olive groves and traditional Berber villages. Upon arrival, you will hike to the top of the falls and enjoy breathtaking views of the cascading water. You will also have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in the natural pools below the falls. In the late afternoon, you will return to Marrakech.
Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou
Today, you will depart for the historic village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site located about 190 kilometers southeast of Marrakech. Along the way, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n’Tichka pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters above sea level. Upon arrival in Ait Ben Haddou, you will explore the village’s ancient kasbahs (fortresses) and learn about its rich history and culture. You will also have the opportunity to visit a local Berber family and experience their traditional way of life. In the late afternoon, you will return to Marrakech.
Day 4: Marrakech – Essaouira
Today, you will depart for the coastal town of Essaouira, located about 180 kilometers west of Marrakech. Along the way, you will pass through scenic landscapes of argan tree forests and traditional Berber villages. Upon arrival in Essaouira, you will explore the town’s charming medina (old town) and its historic port. You will also have the opportunity to visit a local cooperative that produces argan oil, a famous product of the region. In the late afternoon, you will return to Marrakech.
Day 5: Free Day in Marrakech
The fifth day is a free day for you to explore Marrakech at your own pace. You can visit the souks, filled with handicrafts, spices, and textiles. You can also visit the Majorelle Garden, a botanical garden owned by Yves Saint Laurent, or the Bahia Palace, known for its stunning architecture and ornate decorations.
