Full description
Upon your arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you’ll be met by our guide and transferred to your riad. You’ll have some time to rest and freshen up before exploring the vibrant city of Marrakech. You can visit the stunning Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Koutoubia Mosque. In the evening, you can experience the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main square of Marrakech, filled with street performers, food vendors, and local artisans.
After breakfast, you’ll depart from your riad and head to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the backdrop for many Hollywood movies. You’ll explore the fortified village’s traditional kasbahs and learn about the local Berber culture. Then you’ll drive through the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m). You’ll continue to Dades Gorges, where you’ll see stunning rock formations and traditional Berber villages.
After breakfast, you’ll leave Dades Gorges and drive to Tinghir, a picturesque town known for its oasis and Kasbah Tifoultoute. You’ll also visit the Todra Gorge, a deep canyon with towering cliffs that are popular among rock climbers. You’ll continue your journey to Merzouga, a small town on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you’ll stop at several points of interest, including the ancient city of Rissani.
On the fourth day, you’ll wake up early to witness the sunrise over the golden sands of the Sahara. After breakfast, you’ll take a camel trek back to the town of Merzouga. You’ll then drive to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, to visit the Atlas Film Studios and Kasbah Taourirt. You’ll continue your journey to Marrakech, passing through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m).
The fifth day is a free day for you to explore Marrakech at your own pace. You can visit the souks, filled with handicrafts, spices, and textiles. You can also visit the Majorelle Garden, a botanical garden owned by Yves Saint Laurent, or the Bahia Palace, known for its stunning architecture and ornate decorations.
On the final day of your tour, you’ll have some free time to explore Marrakech before being picked up at your riad and transferred to Marrakech Menara Airport for your departure flight. You’ll carry with you unforgettable memories of the beautiful landscapes, welcoming people, and rich culture of Morocco.
